The new invades the old. Or maybe it is old letting new in it’s space? Who is winning? I do not think that any answer to this question will be true. The result is after all dependent on so many factors like the quality of the new for instance. In Poznan we will find many examples of the good the bad and the ugly “new architecture” execution (please put your types in the comments without words generally considered to be offensive.) There are also those that (after first shock) we get used to after some time. It seems to me that we are in that slice of time called “in between.” Some things in new buildings are gone and hopefully some things will come back. Such as a common space, green gardens that have vanished burried under the issue of functionality and commercial exploiting an available space. I hope that the time of reviving things that can not be sold will come.
